In order to speed up litigation a New Jersey judge is calling for Reglan lawsuits to become a class action suit, a statewide consolidation of all suits dealing with Reglan and they neurological side effects.

The primary defendant in the case, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, is the manufacturer of the product and it is centralized in New Jersey.

This move to one large class action suit is based upon the large number of people who have filed Reglan suits and the judge’s belief that they will continue to grow. Side effects of Reglan claimed in the lawsuits include tardive dyskinesia and neuroleptic malignant syndrome.
